I have received a few emails recently wondering if I have a TAPI driver for the PassageWay. No, I do not. Everything that was developed with the PassageWay was done in Linux. I had looked into making a TAPI driver for the PassageWay; however, Microsoft has made that a complicated matter. The RoyPW program (see below) was written in just under 1,500 lines. That is with all the comments, copyright notices, and comments that are in the program. Try that with any Microsoft Windows project.

There is enough information in the RoyPW program that you can, if you desire, to write your own TAPI driver. Also, feel free to email me as I can answer many questions about the PassageWay and RoyPW. If you do develop a TAPI driver, please let me know! I am willing to post the driver on this web site for everyone!

Okay, I admit. It has been since April since I have even touched this web site. Shame on me, shame on me. Dennis and I have discovered much more about the PassageWay since we first put up these pages. Most of this information is not in the protocol page (as it should be).

Unfortunately, I really don't have time to update these pages very much. Dennis and I have nearly completed the RoyPW program. This is a Linux program that handles all the communication between the Linux computer and the PassageWay.

Feel free to grab this program and try it out. I am more than willing to answer questions about the PassageWay or the RoyPW program. Please note that this software is wholely untested....

Download RoyPW v0.8.0
